The Supportive Apartments Program

The final major step in youth transitioning toward self-sufficiency is the Supportive Apartments Program, a 16-bed, scattered site apartment program. The program provides less direct supervision and support than youth received in the Rights of Passage program, and teaches greater independence by encouraging youth to use resources available in the community. Working with a case manager, youth do all the things that anyone who lives independently must do including holding a job, maintaining an apartment, meal planning and preparation and adhering to a budget.
