The lifestyle of street kids places them at particular risk for health problems and injury. The Health Services Center provides both residential and non-residential homeless youth comprehensive emergency and primary care medical exams, psychological, and psychiatric services and referrals to specialty care such as optometry and dentistry. Youth are provided important information on nutrition, STD/HIV prevention and other issues related to maintaining healthy lifestyles.

Jason is on the Right Path

Jason’s life has been full of struggles. He’s fought with his family, his friends and battled with drug abuse. But in just 6 months time his life has changed from one seeming without hope to one with an optimistic future.

“When I first tried crystal meth, I immediately got hooked on it.” He says. “ It was all I could do for nearly 2 ½ years.” Drugs changed everything in Jason’s life. Soon, he had abandoned school and completely lost focus on what was important to him.
