Job Title:
Case Manager

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Case Manager II the Crisis Case Manager is responsible for providing support services to clientele served by Covenant House California Oakland. Essential functions of the position are emergency, transitional and long term housing placements, crisis intervention, individual assessments and referrals, and writing case plans. The position is also responsible for brief counseling (problem solution model) and presenting cases to site staff. This position will also interface with community agencies and courts.
Qualifications:

BA degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or Related Field. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience to include working with high risk youth and have a knowledge of adolescent development, and case management, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, substance abuse, social service / probation system, gang affiliated youth and Urban community environment.

Job Title:
Mental Health Specialist II

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services the Mental Health Specialist II provides direct services to clients by providing psychotherapy to 7-10 transitional age youth through individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, diagnosis and assessment. In addition, this position provides support and oversight for the Case Management team.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required. Doctorate of Psychology (Psy. D) preferred. Must be registered as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Services. Four (4) years of clinical experience in mental health and/or residential setting. Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a mental health and/or residential setting. Certified to provide clinical supervision to MSW and/or MFT Interns.

Evening Assistant Residence Manager

Job Summary:
Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring staff responsibilities for the evening shift included but not limited to: medication distribution, supervision of youth activities, facilitation of group activities, assisting the Residence Manager in developing and updating the policies and procedures, etc. The position will also authorize emergency overnight shelter for the youth, along with other assigned duties by the Residence Manager.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field is required. Experience working in a residential setting is preferable, and one year of management and/or supervisory experience is required. Must have knowledge of adolescent development, crisis intervention, Part-R, CPR and First Aid.

Director of Quality Assurance & Special Projects

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the implementation of best practice service standards, documentation standards and program assessment procedures. The position is also responsible for assisting program management staff in special projects as assigned by the Associate Executive Director.
Qualifications:

Master’s in Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology or a related field is required. Minimum of 3 years experience in the areas of program development, program management, quality assurance and/or research, having experience working for/with non-profit agencies is desired.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Executive Director for Development and Communications in Los Angeles, the Director of Development provides senior administrative supervision of the Oakland Development Department, specifically major gifts and donor relations (including fundraising events), and including the management of the budgets related to these areas, monitoring department performance, and staffing/training.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Five years of progressively responsible fundraising experience including experience in all facets of resource development most especially Major Gifts program development and implementation. Other relevant experience includes direct mail; telemarketing; private and public grant development; planned giving; special events; strategic planning and budgeting.

Job Summary:
This position supervises, coordinates and manages the operations of the Crisis Shelter and Outreach program, insuring the delivery of services to non-residential and Crisis Shelter youth in accordance with the Covenant House Mission Statement, Five Principles, Philosophy of Care, and CHC Policies and Procedures. The position is also responsible for promoting community partnerships, tracking outcomes, and ensuring adherence to federal and private funding guidelines.
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of Management and experience working with homeless at risk youth.

Job Summary:
This position will foster and develop community business relationships and prepare clients for the job market through employment skill development training sessions. Work with CSC clients to arrange interviews, employment opportunities and follow-up.  Facilitate communication with employers and clients to promote job retention.
