Job Title:
Street Outreach Worker
Location:
Hollywood
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Outreach Coordinator, the Street Outreach Worker will assist in the coordination and development of outreach and case management services; works collaboratively with a team serving a diverse population of high-risk/homeless youth and young adults. The position also provides crisis intervention counseling, referral interaction, direct case management, and will assist in the development and implementation of street outreach strategies. Also provides positive interactions with potential clients during street outreach.
Salary and Hours:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Qualifications:

BA degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and a minimum of 1-2 years experience working with homeless and at risk youth is required. Must be a self-starter and a team player, with the ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors and the public. Must be knowledgeable in the areas of crisis intervention and mental illness.

Job Title:
Weekend / Holiday Cook
Location:

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Food Services Manager, the Weekend/Holiday Cook is responsible for preparing meals from an assigned menu, given by the Food Services Manger for weekend meal service. These meals should be prepared to meet quantity and quality necessary for providing a nurturing meal service. This position must also monitor the clean up procedures, and take full responsibility over the function and safety of the food service area, and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations governing the food service industry.

Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma required, and additional certificates in the culinary field preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in an institutional setting, and experience in volume control food preparation for 90 or more people. Must have knowledge of Public Health and OSHA regulations

Evening Case Manager

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Mental Health Specialist, the Evening Case Manager is responsible for provision of case management and custodial services within the CHC Crisis Shelter, ROP, and SAP programs. Essential functions of the Case Manager position are: client intake and assessment, case planning, documentation, and basic individual and group counseling.
Salary and Hours:
Monday - Friday 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Qualifications:

BA degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or a related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of case management experience, preferably with at risk youth is required. Must be computer literate, have strong communication and organizational skills, and possess the ability to communicate with members, clients, vendors and the public.

Job Title:
Part-Time & Per Diem Resident Advisor
Location:
Oakland
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Residence Manager, the Resident Advisor will provide custodial supervision of the shelter and delivery of residential services to youth. Responsibilities also include: record daily intakes, discharges, full assessments, and weekly statistics. Complete the daily file audits, the Morning Report and Transition Log. Dispense and log medication, document in client’s files, other duties as determined.
Salary and Hours:
Part-Time hours are Sat & Sun (7am-3pm)
Per Diem (on call) shifts available.
Hours are TBD by the supervisor
**all Per Diem rates are $10.75/hr**
Qualifications:

BA degree required (social services major preferred). Multicultural awareness, PRO-ACT, CPR & First Aid.

Job Title:
Overnight and Per Diem Resident Advisors
Location:
Hollywood
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Residence Manager, the Resident Advisor will provide custodial supervision of the shelter and delivery of residential services to youth. Mon - Thurs, 9:30pm - 7:30am
$11.54/hr - $12.25/hr (DOE),
**all Per Diem rate is $10.75/ hr
Qualifications:

BA Degree required (major in social services preferred), and a minimum of 2 years working with at-risk youth. For overnight shift, overnight shift work experience preferred. Multicultural awareness, PRO-ACT, CPR & First Aid.

Job Title:
HR Associate

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources (DHR) and HR Manager the position provides support to the Human Resources department and must follow strict confidentiality guidelines. Essential functions include data entry in the Human Resource Information on a daily basis, maintaining personnel files/other files as, finalizing and distributing or mailing correspondence, assists the DHR in recruiting related tasks and coordinating trainings and meetings as needed. The position is also responsible for providing administrative support to the DHR as needed.
Salary and Hours:
Mon - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
$39K-41K
Qualifications:

BA degree required. Minimum of two years of experience related in the field of HR. Proficient in ABRA/HRIS system a plus. Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors, and the public.

Job Title:
Director of Development & Communications
Location:
Hollywood
Job Summary:
This position manages the Development Department, including its entire annual budget, all Development staff and all Development projects (major gifts, planned giving, grants, special events, marketing/communications). While there are administrative responsibilities, this is primarily a fundraising position. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing a strategic fund development plan, including major and planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, special events, direct mail, grant writing, plus various other projects designed to ensure the organizations financial stability and growth. Design, implement, and facilitate annual communications plan for the organization.
Qualifications:

Master's degree and/or equivalent experience in resource development. The successful candidate must have excellent supervisory skills, at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in fund raising for nonprofit organizations and excellent computer/software and communications skills. .

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Program Services will provide for the leadership and overall management, including planning and directing of all program related activities; and supervision and evaluation of all program specific, supportive and direct care staff for the Covenant House Alaska (CHA) programs.
Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Human Services or related field required. Five years administrative and supervisory experience in a human services or adolescent youth program. Experience in managing residential programs preferred. Knowledge of adolescent behavior and development, case management, budget development and administration, grant management required. Outstanding communication skills both oral and written. Computer literate with experience using Microsoft suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
