Our Capital Campaign consists of much needed improvements at both our Los Angeles and Bay Area locations.

In Los Angeles...
our 48-bed Crisis Shelter continues to operate above capacity throughout the year, with an average occupancy rate of 52 youth per night and stays averaging 40 days. By adding four additional bedrooms in our Crisis Shelter, we will be able to make much-needed room for 16 additional youth per night (a 30% increase) and also to add office space for counseling and other needed services.

In the Bay Area...
we will create a much-needed 18-bed Crisis Shelter and a 12-bed transitional living program. The need for a permanent shelter in the Bay Area is dire. The location of our current interim shelter does not have showers or a kitchen, and we have had to struggle with leaky pipes. Meanwhile, there is an estimated 900 homeless youth on the dangerous streets of Oakland alone.
